Self-taught, I was a day banker and night artist for 2 decades. But as destiny has its ways, I have surrendered to my calling for art.
Currently based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with a spectrum of exposure in various art genre around the world, I have emanated Batik intricate motifs within the girls in the latest work in tribute of my Asian roots, jiving my style through the myriad facets of flowers, detailed geometries and dancing colors.
My love of intricate motifs and flowers came together with the birth of “Gadis” (means Girls in Malay) series - the kaleidoscope of female beauty where, it embodies the facets of female expressions. In my work, the girls are portrayed with courage, determination, wittiness, audacity, strength and above all, beauty.
Being an avid admirer of Audrey Kawasaki, James Jean, Ahmad Zakii and Chang Fee Ming, my works reflects their pockets of the styles in my Gadis.
